This game is the Dutch version.
Rippling rivers, rustling forests, swaying wheat fields in the wind, and here and there a charming village – that is Dorfromantik! The video game by small development studio Toukana Interactive has captivated the gaming community since its Early Access release in March 2021 and has already won several prestigious awards. Now, Michael Palm and Lukas Zach are bringing the popular building and puzzle game to the tabletop as a board game for all ages: Dorfromantik: The Board Game.
In Dorfromantik: The Board Game, up to six players work together to place hexagonal tiles and create a beautiful landscape. Meanwhile, they try to fulfill tasks requested by the population while also building the longest possible railway and river. Additionally, they must take into account flags that yield points in enclosed areas. The better the players manage this, the more points they score at the end.
During a replayable campaign, earned points can be used to unlock new tiles hidden inside initially sealed boxes. These introduce new, additional challenges and make it possible to keep pushing for higher high scores.
