Brussels Fun Games Meetup Group

Welcome to our Brussels Fun Games Meetup group

If you love playing cards or board games and enjoy social interaction, you’ve found the right place.

Our gatherings are all about having fun, making new friends, and sharing lots of laughter. Our main goal is to create a friendly, relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy games without competitive pressure. We believe in playing fair and ensuring everyone has a great time.

Some of the popular games we often play include Dixit, Detective Club, Exploding Kittens, Secret Hitler, Coup, Bang, Blood on the Clock Tower, Code Names, and Cards Against Humanity. For those who love a mental challenge, we also host strategic game events. Here, you can put your mind to the test with games like Dune Imperium, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, and Raiders of the North Sea. We welcome members to bring their games and suggest them to the group.

Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just curious to try something new, our meetup is the perfect place to connect, have fun, and immerse yourself in the world of games. Join us and be part of a community where the fun never stops!

Brussels Mahjong Club

Come discover Mahjong with us, a 4-player Asian board game similar to poker and rummy. This game of Chinese origin, extremely popular in Asia, blends strategy, psychology, and luck, with a wide range of regional (even local) variants.

Passionate about this game with almost infinite combinations, where everyone can express their playing style, the team of the Brussels Mahjong Club invites you throughout the festival for an initiation and social play, whether you’ve never heard of Mahjong or you play it regularly!

As the game is quite complex and requires well-developed abstract thinking and strategic abilities, it is not recommended for those under 14. (However, if you love brain-teasers, this game might be highly addictive.)

Club de Jeunesse

The Club de Jeunesse is a Youth House in the Marolles neighborhood. You can find an open welcome space, a library with EDD, a computer room, the CEC Artistic Wednesdays to develop your creativity, and a game library with over 600 games! The Club’s goal, through the activities and workshops offered throughout the year, is to help you develop your projects and critical thinking, encourage you to participate in the life of the House, the neighborhood, and society, and promote togetherness.

Within the Club, facilitators offer a wide range of activities, such as mini-football sessions, writing and poster creation workshops, the girls’ club, and the village that meets to think about the Club’s community life. You can also participate in stages and outings during school holidays.

WHEN?
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 6.30pm
Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Fédération des Amis de la Morale Laïque

Founded in 1969, the FAML (Fédération des Amis de la Morale Laïque) brings together some 30 local associations in French-speaking Belgium.

Its mission? Defending and promoting secular values to a wide audience, which, in his view, is the basis for a balanced “living together”

In addition to its support for local associations, it publishes various publications, with the aim of informing and making readers think so that they can then make their own opinion.

It offers citizenship education activities through workshops that question diversity, discrimination or freedom of expression with the aim of helping to make each participant an informed, active and engaged citizen in society.

Training on these themes is also offered to teachers and facilitators of various associations who are sensitive to citizenship.

It organises conferences and an annual colloquium on various societal topics, always with a free-examining perspective.

It also invests in one-off charitable activities aimed mainly at precarious women and homeless people.

Finally, it serves as a relay point for the non-profit organisation Bruzelles, which collects periodic protections for the homeless.

It is recognised by the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles within the framework of Continuing Education and also benefits from the support of the Brussels-Capital Region and the municipality of St-Josse with which it represents secularism.

You can find out more information right HERE: forgeurs.forumactif.com/.

You have 2 free board games and / or RPG sessions and then we ask for a fee of 25 euros for 1 year. Once the membership fee is paid, you can then come as many times as you like throughout the year to play board games or role-playing games.

When it comes to board games, all you need to do is let us know when you’d like to pass by, make sure that you bring the minimum number of players (3-4, depending on the room), and then all that is left is to enjoy yourself.

All information: Address, schedules, minimum number of participants,… are found on our website.

Everyone can bring their games and we choose together what we will play on the spot. We accept everyone, from big players of Ameritrash or Eurogames, to casual players who just want to make a little mood game or discover our universe. SHAPE is not far away, so we are used to having English speakers at the club. So, if you fit the bill, then do not hesitate to come by. The minimum age to come to the club is 12 years old. For role-playing games, the current campaigns are full (except Shadowrun, notice to fans of SF) but one-shots are regularly organized. If you want to join us, just let us know on the post of the corresponding board game, and if a date has not been already chosen, the game master will post a link so that you decide together the date of your game.

RPG games are open to new players, so even if you’ve never played a role-playing game and don’t have any special dice, that’s no problem. If a table is complete, you can still register because the club’s policy is to leave room for the new ones. We look forward to meeting you at the club around a game.

Fumble Asylum

In the heart of the “Cité Ardente,” our club opens its dimensional doors for you to play role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire, Star Trek, or Call of Cthulhu, as well as board games. Typically, our campaign tables are played biweekly, and on Wednesdays, we offer introductory one-shots and open tables, providing a friendly meeting space and a playful experimentation ground where both veterans and newcomers share their experiences.

We also organize events (including tournaments) around “Fumble Town,” our evolving universe, and host the best games for you at Belgian fairs, conventions, and festivals throughout the year. Fumble Asylum emphasizes novelty, friendliness, and the quality of its services. We adapt our activities according to the experience and age of the audience.

Riddle of Steel

The Riddle of Steel School academy is a latex weapon fighting school.

It was founded some 20 years ago by Mark Gilbert in England.

Its creation is the result of a thinking about fighting with a latex weapons in the role-playing games of Grandeur Nature (“GN”).

However, being a discipline stemming from the ‘GN’, we do not want to get rid of the playful and safe aspect of combat. It is with this in mind that we organise courses, not to train fencers, but to train people according to their desires, whether they are motivated by the more technical, playful or theatrical aspect.
